One of SHUTE's longest running customers today announced their €9M series-B funding. SHUTE is proud to have taken part in their journey towards a revolutionary new med-tech product:

“Since 2018 Synergia Medical has been working together with SHUTE Sensing Solutions on the development of high-tech polymer fibers for inner body usage, which is now patented. Synergia Medical has developed NAO.VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation), the first non-metal optoelectronic neurostimulator for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy. Our device includes a small nonmetallic encapsulation, wireless fast charging, custom optical lead, photovoltaic cells, and an enhanced electrode.

First In Human trials are planned for 2023 and SHUTE’s polymer fiber is a key component in the device. We are delighted to be working with them as partners.”
